Lab #9: ps Command

The docker-compose ps command list out the containers with details like status, Port mapping etc, which is declared in docker-compose file.

Create a docker-compose.yml file

      container_name: Mysqldb

      environment:
        MYSQL_ROOT_PASSWORD: Pa$$w0rd
        MYSQL_USER: test
        MYSQL_PASSWORD: Pa$$w0rd123
        MYSQL_DATABASE: test 
      volumes:
        - db_data:/var/lib/mysql
volumes:
  db_data:

Bringup the containers

$ docker-compose up -d

Checking container status

$ docker-compose ps

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mysqldb     docker-entrypoint.sh mysqld   Up      0.0.0.0:3306->3306/tcp, 33060/tcp

Listout Services

$ $ docker-compose ps --services
